Dialtone is operated by Arjan Stulen, and everything on this page is settled by writing to support@dialtone.app.
When your card is complete you are given a fortnight of the membership. It costs nothing and asks for no card details, and it is there so that you can find out what a membership is like before you buy one.
If you live in the European Union you have fourteen days to withdraw from a purchase made at a distance. At the checkout you ask for your membership to begin at once, and you agree that this right ends as soon as it does. That is what the box you tick at the checkout says.
Even so: if you paid for a membership for the first time and want your money back within fourteen days of paying, write to support@dialtone.app and it is refunded in full, whether or not you used it.
Cancel whenever you like, behind the wordmark, where it says [ MEMBERSHIP ]. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your membership then runs to the end of the period you have paid for and stops there.
A period that has already started is not refunded in part, and that is true of the year as well as of the month. If you have chosen the year, cancelling it means it runs to the end of that year and does not renew.
It does not close your account, it does not take you off a line you are on, and it does not remove anything from your card. When the membership ends the board holds one line at a time for you again, as it does for everybody who has not bought one.
If money was taken that should not have been, write to support@dialtone.app and it is refunded in full. The refund is made through Paddle, who took the payment, back to whatever you paid with, and usually takes five to ten working days to appear.
