What’s new

  • First integrated-bracelet sports watch from Wren, after its vintage-inspired divers
  • Faceted sapphire crystal with internal facets mirroring the external ones
  • 39mm by 39mm 904L steel case, 10.6mm thick, with 70 meters of water resistance
  • Sunray silver or meteorite dial, no markers, with an aqua centre seconds hand
  • Two versions of 150 pieces at US$2,900 and US$3,400, delivery in Q1 2027

Wren, the New York brand founded in 2024 by Craig Karger, has introduced the Vessel, an integrated-bracelet sports watch. Until now the company has made only vintage-inspired dive watches, the Diver One and the Diver 38. Max Resnick designed the Vessel under Karger’s direction.

The case is 904L stainless steel in a faceted cushion shape, 39mm wide, 39mm long and 10.6mm thick. Water resistance is 70 meters (7 atm). The sapphire crystal is curved on both surfaces and faceted, and its underside is cut as a curved, faceted negative of the top, so the inner facets mirror the outer ones. The underside also carries an anti-reflective coating.

The dial comes in a sunray-brushed silver finish or a silver-toned meteorite. Neither has a date or any indices: the rehaut carries a minute track, and the hands are polished and luminous. The only colour is the aqua blue centre seconds hand. A large push-pull crown sits on the case.

The 904L steel bracelet has single-piece links with microadjustment built into them. A push button at each end of the case releases it through a proprietary quick-release mechanism, and there are no exposed spring bars. A black rubber strap with quick-release is available for US$195.

Inside is the Sellita SW300-1, with manual winding, hacking seconds, 28,800 vph, 25 jewels and a 56-hour power reserve. A circular skeletonized aqua rotor covers the movement, which can be seen through a square exhibition caseback.

There are 150 watches in each version, 300 in total. The sunray costs US$2,900 and the meteorite US$3,400, excluding taxes. Both are open for pre-sale on Wren’s website, with delivery scheduled for Q1 2027.
