This policy explains what Dialtone collects, why, and the choices you have. It covers the account you create and the content you share.

• Account. Your username, email address, a hashed password, and your date of birth (used only to confirm you meet the minimum age).
• Content. The photos, captions, comments, likes, follows, and watch details you create.
• Technical. Basic request data such as IP address and device or browser information, used for security and abuse prevention.

• To operate Dialtone — sign you in, build your feed, deliver your posts.
• To keep the community safe — moderation, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.
• To communicate with you — account email such as verification and password resets.

We use trusted providers and share only what each needs to do its job:

• Neon — our database (accounts and content).
• Vercel Blob — image storage.
• Vercel — hosting and delivery.
• Resend — sending account email.
• Upstash — rate-limiting counters that protect the service.

We don't sell your personal information.

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. It's essential to the service; we don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your posts, comments, likes, follows, and uploaded images. Some records may persist briefly in backups or where retention is legally required.

You can edit your profile, change your password, and delete your account from within the app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your data — contact us to make a request.

Dialtone isn't intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from people under that age.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the date above.
