Doxa Sub 300 Beta 'Frogger' brings a Coronado Island dial

  • Collaboration with Belmont Watches, limited to 100 pieces at $2,890 USD
  • Grained deep-green dial with relief map of Coronado Island replaces the wave dial
  • Bright orange timing scale and deep green no-decompression scale on all-black ceramic bezel
  • Brushed bracelet and included green textile NATO strap
  • Sellita SW200-1 movement, not COSC certified

Doxa has teamed up with California retailer Belmont Watches on the Sub 300 Beta ‘Frogger’, a limited run of 100 pieces priced at $2,890 USD.

The Frogger measures 42.5mm across, 44.5mm lug-to-lug and 11.95mm thick, making it the thinnest Sub 300 model available. It also carries a helium escape valve, and swaps the core model’s split-scale metal bezel and crown for an all-black ceramic bezel with a matching crown. The bezel turns with 120 clicks and no play. The timing scale is bright orange, and the no-decompression scale is deep green.

Instead of the wave pattern found on standard Betas, the dial has a grained deep-green finish, and the usual sailboat gives way to a relief map of Coronado Island. The handset comes from the Doxa Army, with bright orange hands and vintage-tone Super-LumiNova.

The fully brushed bracelet has a 20mm lug width and a ratcheting micro-adjustment clasp. Belmont also includes a green textile pass-through NATO strap. The screw-down caseback is individually numbered out of 100.

Inside is the Swiss automatic Sellita SW200-1, running at 28,800 vph with a minimum power reserve of 38 hours and no COSC certification.
