HTD has introduced the Hesagraph RitmoCorsa, a limited edition of 99 pieces made to mark five years of partnership with the Italian racing team Scuderia HTD RitmoCorsa. The edition has sold out.
The dial is enameled in a special Pantone shade of Racing Red, chosen to echo the body of one of the team’s cars. Against that red sit three slightly recessed white sub-dials: a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, a 12-hour totalizer at 6 o’clock and running seconds at 9 o’clock. A white minutes scale runs around the outer edge to match. Faceted applied hour indexes, a luminous pip beside each register and luminous hands, including the arrow on the central chronograph hand, all use Swiss Superluminova.
The 316L stainless steel case measures 39 mm wide, 12.4 mm thick including the box-shaped sapphire crystal, and 48 mm lug to lug. The central chronograph seconds hand sits 0.3 mm below the crystal. The case is polished, while the three-row Oyster-style bracelet is fully brushed. It closes with a push-button folding clasp with micro-adjustment holes, and the end links have no quick-release spring bars.
The oversized pump pushers were tested for easier use with racing gloves. The push-pull crown sits between them.
Inside is the hand-wound Swiss Sellita SW510 M chronograph, a tricompax layout running at 28,800 vph with 23 jewels and a 63-hour power reserve. The watch is water resistant to 50 m, with a screw-in steel case back. Each watch is assembled in Italy at HTD’s workshop in Florence and carries a 24-month warranty.
