Laurent Ferrier has added the Grand Sport Tourbillon Iceberg to its range. The case is grade 5 titanium, paired with a white dial in an icy shade. The watch takes the place of the salmon-dial Pursuit model, which has been discontinued, and joins the permanent collection.
The barrel-shaped case measures 44mm across and 13.40mm thick, with a cushion-shaped bezel. An onion-style screw-down crown sits between crown guards, and water resistance is 100m. The watch weighs 118 grams in total.
The dial is a pale white opaline with subtle blue reflections. The words Tourbillon Grand Sport are transferred tone-on-tone beneath the central hands. Drop-shaped hour markers and Assegai-shaped hands are made in white gold, treated with ruthenium and filled with white Super-LumiNova. The tourbillon cannot be seen from the front; it is revealed only through the caseback.

Inside is the in-house calibre LF619.01, which first appeared in the Classic Tourbillon. It measures 31.60mm in diameter and 5.57mm in thickness, and is made of 188 components with 23 jewels. It beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers more than 80 hours of power reserve. The one-minute tourbillon carries two balance springs mounted in opposition, and a variable-inertia balance wheel adjusted by screws. A long-blade click gives winding a soft mechanical sound.
The integrated bracelet stays in titanium, with satin-brushed links and mirror-polished bevels. The folding clasp has no micro-adjustment system.
The price is CHF 175,000 before taxes, the same as the model it replaces.
